the phone rang 10 mins ago, DS answered "hello, who is ti please" and passed the phone to me saying it was Martin.
I said hello and this martin said "oh Mrs G" to whcih I said "no, Mrs G hasn't lived here for over 2 years".
"sorry to have troubled you" said Martin. "Goodbye"

It was only after I'd put the phone downt hat i reaslied the the G family never had our phone number. We bought our number with us. SO how could they have got our telephone number but their name?

I did 1471 but the number was withheld.

Any ideas?

Maybe they used the address to find the phone number thinking that the G's still lived there ? Wouldn't bother me tbh

I'd assume the same as NDP - they'd looked up the number using your address. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

can you look up a phone number though if you dont have the name?

although it would have come up with the names of the current residents.
