Does anyone else think that the whole thing ended really weirdly? I know that Charlotte had eventually married someone lovely, but she then had a miscarriage! Samantha is sort of in love with Smith, so I suppose that her story ended well. Miranda's life was well rounded off, but what the bleeding hell happened to Carrie! Couldn't the writers have made sure that something wonderful happened to her, rather than just another date? Or was that the point i.e. that she will never settle down? I'm seriously disappointed. What does anyone else think?

Completely agree. I thought I'd made a mistake and it wasn't the last one, its wasn't the last one of the last series was it? Even the voice over saying Miranda and Steve got back together was crap. BIG disappointment

I think they're splitting the last series in half and we still have a good few episodes to go (10 or so?), but who knows when. Thank god for endless repeats on Paramount Comedy...

I don't agree with SATC ending. I think it should go on forever and ever. Take that awful miserable Eastenders off the telly and replace it with SATC four days a week. I am absolutely gutted it's ending

It's not finished!!!! Actually I know how it all ends but won't spoil it for you if you don't know, but there is more to come... Very sad it's over soon though, I loooove it!!!! dh can't stand it (he quite likes Samantha though, wonder why?), so I watch on my own with glass of wine, bliss!

I didn't realise it had finished either. This last series was a bit poo I thought, their outfits were foul and they used to look good.

I watch the repeats on Sky all the time much to dh disgust, he hates Miranda with a passion and shouts at the TV.

I've just twigged this threads about sex and the city! I was avoiding it as I thought SATC was one of these many acronyms(?) that appear on Mumsnet and I don't know what they are!

well, this is the last series but it seems to come in two parts...I think we've seen the first part now, and there are 8 episodes to come in the second and final part of the final series. I'm confused now...

Carrie's roots were awful in the last episodes, hope they sort that out, never mind Samantha's ginger minge
