Thought it might be handy to let people know!!!

They shut the car parks this morning due to all the problems with them, and have now announced that the whole shopping centre is shut until further notice due to health and safety!!!

Kinda screws anyone planning on Christmas shopping there for a bit....

I went to Winton on Tuesday and got all excited by all my good stuff... I only live Charminster, and still never think to shop there .

Got a pretty top in the end in Southampton, and finally bought my first thing for the baby . Was fuming though - apparantly lumpy ladies can't try on clothes in Next anywhere other than CP... the rest do maternity in catalogue only

The car park is falling down - again!

amynnixmum · 01/12/2005 16:01

Apparently when they built it they made allowances for the weight of all the buildings and people but not the cars!!

FlameRobin · 01/12/2005 16:06

Inside info from one of the original workers.... Asda refused to move to build it from when it was The Hampshire Centre - as a result the structure had to be made around it, which has made it all unbalanced. What it really needed (and needs) was to be pulled down, flattened, and starting again.

Hence the carpark falling apart.
