Like Lidl and Aldi?

I really need to save some money before Christmas, so thinking of doing weekly shop in Lidl for a few weeks.

How much could I save on my weekly shop? It will be mostly fresh stuff - dairy, fruit & veg, meat.

Have you thought of using the market for your fruit and veg - VERY cheap (just make sure you compare prices on all of the stalls before buying - first week I went I ended up with 5lbs of potatoes for £1 instead of 7lbs for £1 round the corner).

Hmm I could have done this where we used to live, but alas no local market here.

Not even a once a week one within reasonable driving distance???

Trust me it's worth it - much cheaper than 'normal' supermarkets - and nicer quality than Lidl and Aldi's.

They are but there is a more limited range. Managing for a few weeeks should be do-able though.

yes they are, we get all our washing powders, toilet rolls and household stuff, plus fruit juices, biscuits, cheese.tins and some veg and fruit - we also get an organic veg box every week, so that takes care of most things
It has saved us quite a lot at least £10 per week. That was from £95 per week now we spend about £80
