Smelly Polly Pocket - HELP !

NomDePlume · 29/11/2005 14:03

I bought DD a Polly Pocket set from eBay as a Christmas stocking filler, it is in wonderful condition (original 1989 version not the modern one), but it has obviously come from a smoking home.

I want to get the fag smell out of the toy but I can't wash the main house bit because it has stickers and it ruins them. The dolls I can wash in soapy water but what's the best way to neutralise the fag smell in the house thing bearing in mind that I can't get it wet ?

leave it outside for a bit?

spray with fabreze?

NomDePlume · 29/11/2005 14:24

Fabreeze makes me gag, it doesn't neutralise the smell, just combines to make it even more rank, IME.

It's snowing so outside not an option atm but I'll give it a go when it stops.

there is a spray thats an odour neutriliser, is it called oust???, that might work, bit less pungent than fabreeze.
