having dd2's long hair cut to her neckline this afternon

I don't want to have it done as it is gorgeous and long, but,on the other hand I cannot stand the tears everytime we brush it, it's very fine and gets knotty very easily, sometimes she crys that much when it is brushed that she is sick.

I am dreading it, I know i'll cry

Have you tried the detangler [sp] spray from avon it works a treat.

Twiglett · 28/11/2005 14:52

right thing to do .. its only your aesthetics that get hurt rather than DD every time you brush

be brave .. take tissues and take a lock as a keepsake

i cut my DD's long hair to just under the shoulder today. no guilt here, it'll grow back and she looks so so cute with this new haircut!

I have V fine hair too and caused same prob for my mum, try brushing the ends first then middle and then the top, the knots come out so much more easily.

I've spent a fortune on every hair product going and also on various types of brushes, I use the avon de-tangler on dd1's hair. But, no matter how I brush she ends up besides herself, it's the only time she cries.

BF had to do this with her DD, and although she was upset it was the best thing for both of them . Her DD's hair was always tangled and knotty and no matter what detangling sprays she used it always ended in tears and hysterics.

When the hairdresser cut her hair she noticed that the back of her hair didn't grow straight down, she's got mini crowns at the back so the hair grows any which way, which is why it tangles so much.

I have to say she looked very sweet with long hair, but just as good with her cute little bob

Well, its done, its just above her shoulders, she looks like a different child, but, Lilacbump, as you mentioned about your dd, she does look so so cute.

oh i think little bobs on girls are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!
much, much nicer than really long hair IMO

She has her nightie on and is walking round with her teddy, I think she looks like Wendy off Peter Pan.
