sorry this is so tedious but thought i'd see if anyone's ahd this happen before I go paying £50 just for a call-out (pikey that i am!)

washing just doesn't seem warm or completely dry when the cycle has finished. if we leave it a while before we use it again it's slightly better but something's obviously 'blown' but don't know what it would be. any ideas?

is it a condenser dryer?

if so YES we had that prob...

ours was a hotpoint and it had this sort of grill thing on the bottom left had edge and it was all sort of bunged uo with wet grey fluff.... when we picked it all out (pretty gross) and we had to use a cocktail stick / match to get it all, it started working perfectly again!

worth a check!

not sure if its a condenser one? would it be obvious (ie in the manual?) There's a filter bottom left just inside the door that collects fluff and we have to scrape it out regularly. would this eliminate that problem do you think?

a condenser dryer is one that doeasnt have a vent to the outside...

means you have to empty the water out.

Oh and that thing i was talking about was NOT the fluff filter but this grill thing next to where the container is that u empty the water out!

Moomin · 26/11/2005 23:19

oh, no then, it's not a condenser. there's a vent to outside. we're going to have to investigate further in the daylight tomorrow. i just want it to be a simple explanation - dh's getting all precious about 'his' washing not getting dried! I'm sure he's got more oestrogen(sp) than me...
