Pans stuck together...can anyone help?

I have to normal pans that are exactly the same size and have now got stuck together. I don't want to throw them away they are my favourite pans, even though they are only cheap and from Ikea! Does anyone know a good way of getting them unstuck? I have tried soaking them in hot soapy water but they are stuck fast. Any ideas?

Do you mean stuck inside each other?
How about filling the top one with ice and then sitting the lower one in a basin of very hot water?

Could you squirt some WD 40 down the sides as well?

Try soaking or running under cold water - heat expands, cold contracts (I think?)

If it doesn't work, try verey cold water in the inner pan (ice maybe?) and vert hot water on the outside of the outer pan - the outer pan should expand slightly and the inner one should contract. Well, that's the theory anyway.

Well I would just like to say thank you to all you clever ladies out there. I put ice in the top pan and stood the bottom one in boiling water and lo and behold it worked. I have to say it was a last resort and I didn't really believe it would work but I'll never doubt that collective wisdom again.

The pans are saved - hoorah!
