She's obviously been influenced by the chocolate she had when she was about 3 months old.

Terrible.

Carlk · 24/11/2005 18:10

Nah I'm worse (but it doesnt count cos Im a dad and dont know any better)
on our trip to France this year on the plane i let DD drink diet coke from the bottle!! my excuse was anything to keep her quiet for the next 40 mins.
should have seen the looks from other mums on the plane

Twiglett · 24/11/2005 18:11

You have a child genius then misdee - drinking at 9mo from a proper cup. Go back and congratulate her

slug · 25/11/2005 10:37

Coke!!!!! Lightweight. The sluglet was swilling coffee grounds at that age.

Caligyulea · 25/11/2005 10:41

OMG! Call Social Services!

Well as long as there was no vodka in it...

giving kids coke at 6pm

you must be a glutton for punishment misdee

aloha · 25/11/2005 10:43

Twiglett, same as mine. Oh, the time just rushes by

tamula · 25/11/2005 10:46

cheeky mite, bet she would have spilled some if it was boring old milk but her focus was highly trained when naughtily sipping coke!

I ocasionally allow dd nearing 8months to taste the tingle of sparkly water on her lips, her face is a picture. Is that bad?

flamesparrow · 25/11/2005 10:46

Carlk - how did coke keep your DD quiet??? Mine would have stopped the whinging for coke, but then gone hyper and bounced all over the plane

We have "mummy coke" and "daddy coke" in this house... something that DD has decided by herself - mummy coke is actual coke... daddy coke is beer - I think I've been diddled

slug · 25/11/2005 14:42

We have 'Mummy and Daddy water' and 'bubby water' in our house. Ours is gin

NotActuallyAMum · 25/11/2005 15:11

Erm, can someone enlighten me in my ignorance please? Presumably coke is bad because it has lots of sugar in it, same with squash, right? So what's wrong with diet coke?

flamesparrow · 25/11/2005 15:12

Diet coke has all the artificial sugars, which some argue are worse than the normal kind... for me though, any coke has caffeine in it, which sends DD nuts - she's the same with tea

misdee · 25/11/2005 15:20

the kisd went to sleep fine. i allow a small cup of coke when we have takeawat pizza, call me a bad mum if you wish, but its not like i'm shoving it in their bottles lol.

I wish I could do that Misdee - I always feel so mean when I say no... the slightest thing sends DD off the walls though.

I know I'd be attacked by the viewing junk food as treats brigade , but it is sweet, and is seen as a treat to her.

flamesparrow · 25/11/2005 15:22

Not that any of that was relevant... I'm just jealous

misdee · 25/11/2005 15:23

mine react to cheap orange juice tho.
