some bast**d hit my car

i was on my way to the docs and there was a lorry coming towards me so i pulled in to let him past. i could see the back of the lorry getting closer and closer then it hit. its only smashed my wing mirror butbut it didnt stop even though i hit my horn a few times. i went after it and took his reg and phoned the police when i got home. the police are treating it as a hit and run just waiting for them to come round now

He will most likely get done for failing to stop at scene of accident etc and will get his come uppance

good it was so scary seeing that it was gonna hit me and alana was in the car with me

scary stuff starshaker, you did the right thing in taking his reg and calling the police.

Poor you but good on for you for getting the reg. We had a car drive in the back of us last year when we were stopped at a red traffic ight. It caused so much damage our car was written off we were so shook up though we only got a patial reg. Phoned the police who weren't bothered at all.
It's horrible isn't it.

i know i think it was knowing it was gonna hit and not being able to do anythin and the fact dd was in the car. what if he had caught the front and twisted us round dd could have been really hurt

police have been and said he will deal with it and will phone me tonight (he can phone me anytime )with an accident number so i can get it processed through my insurance

i no the feeling a while back i was coming out of my waitrose and theres a bend. i could see the lorry van / thing coming so i pulled over to let ot go past (narrow raod etc) and i could see it WAS going to hit me

luckily it (almost) saw in time and stopped with the tineist bit to spare BUT it then settled on suspension (rather than the momentum from going round the bend) and sort of pressed my wing mirror 'down'

he then stopped and just looked at me (cause he couldnt move) we were both still for a while (i couldnt get out cause obv his lorrry was on my mirror which was attached to my door hence wouldnt open... so after a while i just steered to the left up the pavement and away. theere was absolutely NO damage apart from the tinest 'mark' on the mirror so i didnt bother to do anything!

But i remember being terrified seeing it WASNT going to make the turn without hitting me!
