Sodding gym inductions

Rant alert. I don't know how many times I've been through one of these. I don't need to be shown how to use the goddam equipment - I've been doing this for ages. Just called the local municipal gym where I have to go through an induction before I can use the gym at a cost of £18.90. I'm sorely tempted to drive to the next council area where I was inducted years ago just to prove a point.

You might not need to be shown, but as part of the Health and Safety requirements, the gym has a duty to ensure that everyone who uses the equipment has been shown how to do so safely. It's probably as big a pain for the instructors as it is for you!

Their insurance would be way more expensive if they didn't require inductions. It may not benefit you in terms of learning to use the equipment, but it does benefit all users by keeping the feels lower.
