ipod help please!

DH wants an Ipod for Xmas except that I don't know what I'm talking about. I know that he doesn't want the big one that holds millions of tunes. Been on Amazon and there's a mini and a nanno. No idea what either is and the descriptions didn't help me either. Is there some one out there that can tell me what to buy. Thanks!

Nano is a smaller, thinner version of the mini, the mini a smaller version of the "big" iPod

whatever you get, make sure that after 1 yr (when the warranty runs out), you buy an extended care plan (in fact, you can buy it when you get the ipod - I think it is £39.99).

Dh bought a pod and after exactly 1 yr and 1 week it has completely packed up. We went to get a quote to fix it and they told us the best thing to do would buy another one because it was too expensive to fix it (so that's another £200 for one the same size as his!!).

I have the ipod shuffle which is great but would much prefer the nano as it has a display and holds more songs!
