Finally settled on a cleaner - have I got a good deal?

once a fortnight = £25 for 3 hours. She does all internal windows, moves all furniture to vacuum under, cleans microwave, polishes everywhere, sweeps hard floors then doesn't mop - she gets on hands and knees to clean them, does inside fridge, all bathrooms/toilets etc

That sounds reasonable to me.

sounds like a treaure, be sure to give her cups of tea and biscuits to keep her happy

I won't be in when she comes - I'll be at work. Might leave her a biccie out on the side.

hi i have a cleaner and i have her for two hours a week for £15 i dont ask her to clean windows but she cleans the cooker and oven and microwave and i have a toilet up stairs so it's two toilets and hovering and then cleans the bathroom and kitchen floor i dont expect her to scrub my kitchen floor i think i dont do it so why should she i am soo pleased if you are happy that fine but i dont pay any less than 7.50 a hour i think it's the least you expect a good service i am sure you might get cheaper but you have a friend that has a cleaner i would ask her if she will do you too that is how i got mine

mazzystar · 21/11/2005 15:57

but if she is only going to do once a fortnight the house will be muckier (presumably) than if she only comes once a week. ergo harder work?

helsi · 21/11/2005 19:04

no it won't be muckier as I can keep up to the little jobs with my SPD - its the bigger things I am struggling with. I can dust and keep up to toilets but she gives thema right good doing and all the rest that doesn't need every week.
