Rant abut Amazon

Have done most of my Xmas shopping on Amazon as am v.v. pregnant and don't fancy facing the shops with a newborn next month. Just checekd my order and they can't deliver any of it until mid-January!!!!! It's not as if I ordered rare stuff (family games, kids toys and books) either.

So p'd off.

Anyone else had problems with them?

Have you gone for the Super Saver free delivery? If so, then one item can hold up the entire order as they deliver it all at once. If you remove the problem item(s) the rest of the order can be dispatched ealier.

Have gone for free delivery - but can't tell which one is holding up the queue. Have emailed them tho so if that's the case can do that - thanks for the advice.

I did this once and included a pre-order of Harry Potter which meant they weren't due to be delivered for about 4 months!

You may be able to find out the likely culprit by looking at the individual item listings - they usually have an estimated dispatch time for each one.

almost everything I've ever bought off amazon has had a long delivery date unless I've bought from the marletplace... I gave up in the end. It's easier to get to the shops!

Used to work for amazon, and shopped with them a lot when dd was smaller. found the delivery dates for books, dvds and cds excellent, but toys took too long.

I ordered some books about 3 weeks ago and now they say they cant celiever til december 19th!!!

hmmmmmmm, twice I have had an amazon order quicker than they said it would be........I have got to say when a dvd they sent didnt work they were fabulous at sorting it super fast. I dont have any complaints here.
argos have got to be the best at delivery tho, we ordered two scooters and a desk on tuesday night/teatime and it arrived thursday!!!

had the same problem last year from amazon and whsmith,ended up cancelling and going to the shops!
Pain in the but at this time of year.

Have ordered some books from them,last week,got one from used seller this morning,will probably not get the rest now,methinks!
