Have read part of the thread about smacking but was so long I just felt the need to start this one.
I am one of the parents who smack when I have given 2 warnings and then I do it. Have found a lot of Mums are against this and believe that everyone has their own ways of dealing with their children and we should all respect each other's views.
When I was at school (33) there was punishment in schools be it the cane or one teacher used the slipper. Everyone was scared of that teacher yes but everyone still respected him.
Now in schools there are kids slashing other kids faces in the canteen, surely this method that schools use now where "corporal punishment" is wrong can't be working that well. As far as I can remember when I was at school we fought with our fists not with knives!!!! The incidences are becoming more and more frequent too.
To be honest I am afraid for my children when they reach high school!!!!
