Ds stinks of smoke

I am really peed off. Ds has not long come back from tea at his friends house and he absolutely reeks of cigarette smoke. I asked him if his friends parents where smoking in front of him and he said Yes. When I used to smoke, it was always outside, I would never dream of smoking in front of a child. To make matters worse exactly the same thing happened to dd1 last week when she had tea at her friends house. I think it's awful.

Oh, yuck

It is disgusting. Why does anybody, in this day and age, when the dangers of passive smoking are known, do people choose to smoke round kids? I'd feel too.

How old is your DS? (He's not smoking himself, is he?)

paolosgirl · 15/11/2005 20:16

grammar there, sorry, bykwim!

Bomper · 15/11/2005 20:21

Definitely not!! He is 8 and absolutely loathes smoking. He was so pleased when I gave up, and still asks if it was me smoking that caused him to get croup when he was a baby - the cheeky git!!

No, I don't think I will. I'll just have his friend round to me instead.

Ooh yes, eight's a bit young.

I've never thought of this problem. I don't know anyone who smokes, whose house DS goes to, but I guess as he gets older, this is a dilemma to look forward to.
