Nail varnish stain panic!

Calling all ye cleaning gurus! I have managed to spill almost an entire bottle of dark brown nail varnish on a white sofa and it will not come off! I tried nail varnish remover but this didn't touch it. Any tips please please please? The covers are removable but a standard wash hasn't helped either.

someone might know how to get it out, but if not - my approach to unremoveable stains is to customise the item (usually clothes) with a nice sew-on flower or pretty patch - with your sofa, remove the affected covers, wash, then sew on something nice - either a contrasting coloured flower shape or other decoration, or something in white. i'd buy a bit of furniture fabric (john lewis have a good range) with nice shapes etc in it and cut shapes out to cover the stain. sew on by hand using overstich. if shit at sewing, get someone who's good to do it so that it lasts.

There's a staindevil for nail varnish, but haven't used it, so can't vouch for its effectiveness!!!!
