GAP runs big, particularly in the waist. I'd say you're a 6 in American GAP if you're a 12 here.

To prove it, I'm normally a 10 and I tried some trousers on in a 6 and they were still a bit big!

12 is definitely an 8 and yes, Gap sizes are generous so you might fit a 6 but that's technically a 10.

It's a 6 in the US, cod, GAP in the US has HUGE waists. If you're a 12 here, you're a 6 in US GAP, Liz Clairbourne and The Limited.
