That's really nice compo.

Mine were supposed to be coming to visit us this weekend but my mum has hurt her back and can't come . Very disappointed DSs (and granny).

It sounds a bit materialistic but I mean that it's so nice to think that my mum took time to go round town thinking of us iyswim!!

dino, hope she feels better soon.
Compo, do yours live far away (seem to recall they do?) Hope they and you have a really great weekend.
Mine still tip with small presents for us all (mainly the children ) even though they recently moved 300 miles to be round the corner from us. Bumping into them locally is just so lovely.

yes, about 3 hours journey away. Haven't seen them since beginning of August. Hope your mum feels better soon dinosaur

that is nice compo. Also nice to have parents staying in a hotel - don't want to sound mean but I would have thought it allows you all to enjoy time together without getting under each other's feet and starting to annoy each other, in that, normal family-ish way. I love my mum to bits and she's the best granny ever but we do start to niggle at each otehr after a coupe of days. have a nice weekend

thanks. Yes, it is easier when they don't stay here. There's no room since we had ds. And we don't have a bath (only a shower) and my mum loves her bath in the morning! We used to have in-laws to stay here - once for 2 weeks so I was glad when we didn't have a spare room any more and they were relegated to a hotel too!!!
