I know why she blanked you cod.

She'sa a mumsnetter and has realised who your alter ego is and you have pissed her off with a blunt comment or wittisism sometime in the past.

lol

we have woman who lives near us with two big dogs

when dd1 was tiny they ran into our garden and barked at her really aggressively

I shouted at them - the owner heard me.

Now 5 years later she still blanks me even when we pass in the lane.

I always make a really big point of saying 'Hello' with keen big smiley face. She just ignores me and goes red

maybe they are all just really, really short sighted.

JonesTheSteam · 11/11/2005 14:57

mazzystar - you could have a point!

I'm very short-sighted and hated wearing glasses as a teenager. Now I wear contact lenses, but when I was younger I used to walk around in a complete fog!! (No idea how - couldn't do it now).

Quite frequently I'd get told by someone how they'd seen me in town yesterday, but I walked straight past them!!!

Pinotmum · 11/11/2005 15:05

My neighbour who lives opposite does this. I have taken in parcels for her and she sends her dh over to get them from me. When she sees me she just stares at me but when I smile and say hello she looks away. I don't bother now and have even refused to take any deliveries from the courier anymore. SHE IS RUDE and SNOOTY and STARY and SCARY.

Twiglett · 11/11/2005 15:08

ha totally agree cod ... if you can't muster up the courage to return a smile then you should fully expect to be lonely

although she actually sounds quite snooty to me

off to read how many people have flamed you for daring to mutter

Twiglett · 11/11/2005 15:10

although maybe mousy woman was actually the polish chauffeur and didn't speak english

well you said it was posh
