What should I get worked up about?

hunkermunker · 10/11/2005 11:03

Go on. A thread for all those who say "There are more important things to get worked up about than x, y or z" to tell me what I ought to be worked up about.

I don't promise to. But I'll try.

Slow day at the office Hunker ???

flamesparrow · 10/11/2005 11:05

Oooh, I think the flavournessless of my latest bunch of grapes, and the price of cards are amongst the most important things right now

Enid · 10/11/2005 11:05

onions in carbonara

fish paired with cheese

hunkermunker · 10/11/2005 11:08

No, just wondered what was important to those who say that minding about tit/teat issues is a waste of time.

Onions in carbonara? Madness! An unexpected twang when there should not be!

Fish and cheese? Can't get myself so worked up about that, I'm afraid! Like my homemade fish pie too much

As for flavourlessness of grapes...FS, it's winter! Grapes aren't meant to have year-round flavour

But the price of cards...with you there.

OP posts:
flamesparrow · 10/11/2005 11:09

They are when you're pregnant and craving grapes!!!

Enid · 10/11/2005 11:10

being refused a pay rise as you are about to go on maternity leave?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/11/2005 11:13

what about:
should I get a double buggy? I mean is it worth it, really?
that's pretty important, much more impt than the tedious details of baby nutrition, surely?

sweetkitty · 10/11/2005 11:14

oh I'm having a double buggy debate today!!!

Enid · 10/11/2005 11:15

i always want to parp buggy threads

oliveoil · 10/11/2005 11:16

My current bug is why my shirt was ironed but now it looks like I have slept in it. Surely of world wide importance?

Baby nutrition surely pales in comparison.

Tsk.

harpsichordcarrier · 10/11/2005 11:17

also, there is no bread in the house
and I am fairly hungry and I wouldn't mind some toast
REALLY serious

hunkermunker · 10/11/2005 11:18

Enid, I've already ranted on your thread re that - am very on your behalf and hope that you get it sorted - or is that their final "offer"? Bastards!

Double buggies...I'm getting a buggypod, I think.

Ironing...I don't do it.

OP posts:
flamesparrow · 10/11/2005 11:19

I have bread, I'll trade you for some grapes with some flavour!

Gobbledigook · 10/11/2005 11:20

You can buy my double buggy cheap if you want and if you can collect it! It's sort of bulky but it's quite nice and if you don't think you'll use it for long it doesn't matter!

harpsichordcarrier · 10/11/2005 11:28

thank you ladies for yuor offers of bread and buggies
[hinker, what thread?]

welshboris · 10/11/2005 12:19

The issue of most importance to me at the moment is why can't they make Jarlsberg cheese without holes in it? I've just had some on my sandwich and really feel bitter when I get a bite with a hole.

hunkermunker · 10/11/2005 15:00

The holes are formed by bacteria, apparently. It makes carbon dioxide bubbles or something. I was half-listening to something on the radio the other day

gang of teenagers comes into Tesco metro in intimdiating fashion generally, but especially as one was riding a bike and security did just about nothing much to the anxiety of the customers
