I was in the Book Shop yesterday (the cheapy highstreet type ones) and saw This little gem How fab is that? It was also about £7 there, so I've only put this link in so you can see what it is.

bobbybob · 10/11/2005 21:32

Anyone remember the Boots No 17 advert where the model had orange and purple lipstick and eyes. The colours were in segments and looked fantastic - but then I was about 14,

Posey · 10/11/2005 21:32

Every Wednesday morning mum would get me up half an hour earlier so I could read it before my big sis nabbed it (it came with the newspaper)

Tallgirl · 10/11/2005 21:32

Only £10.19 on Amazon. And you can also get a David Cassidy Now and Then 2006 Calendar for the bargain price of £3.59 but I guess most of you are too young to remember him! Have to say I was only about 6 or 7 at the time but still had a massive crush on him and a poster on my wall...

BudaBabe · 10/11/2005 21:45

I resisted the David Cassidy calendar - only cos I want a Robbie one! Am I sad or just sad??

Hi everyone,

I'm currently undergoing writing a dissertation all about teen magazine and their influences, and i'm looking a lot into Jackie magazine and it's success. So i was wondering if any of you would like to comment on how Jackie magazine influenced you growing into adulthood? Do you think it was a positive media outlet for teenage girls at the time? What made it so great? Any other comments to Jackie and its influence to its readers would be amazing.

Only comment if you're comfortable with your views helping towards my dissertation, your quotes may be involved within my final work but you will have full confidentiality and will not be passing your details from this forum onto anyone else.

Please help if you can! Thanks guys.
