Peckajust here for a minute-you are doing all the right things in having her drink water, etc. Would a warm bath help her? How about television, something to keep her mind off. She is being a bit selfish, but I guess she is just so upset, doesn't realize you need to get up in the morning...sorry you are going through this. the longer she stays up, the better it will get and it will leave her system. I can't imagine it would last more than 3 hours.

doesnt want tv on i have asked her

i could go on and on here but this may be the straw that broke the camels back - i seem to have become her mother! im only 24 fgs

Sorry....My brother is a mess, there is always one in the family, it is so difficult to draw the lines and set boundries as to what is acceptable. Clearly she is not to smoke grass again in your home (especially not your DH's!). Tonight is a loss, but you will have to speak with her when she is more clear-headed. Try not to be upset.

nightowl · 10/11/2005 04:23

how old is she pecka?

peckarollover · 10/11/2005 04:27

she got knocked over on xmas eve last year - i got the call to go to the hospital and seem to have inherited her ever since.

she lives on a bed in my playroom as i have no extra room

she doesnt pay

although bless her, she is very very good with my ds - cant take that away from her

in this time dp and i have got married but cant even have a shag as we feel weird about sister being below us

its starting to be a strain as you can see

I have just been reading this thread and hoping that everything is OK now. Pecka you are doing a wonderful job, and are extremely kind. No wonder it is all taking a strain on you.

Before going away for the weekend make sure your DH has no more in the house, and get your sister to promise you that she will be good. You deserve the weekend away without worries and stress of thinking about the kids.

Try to get the kids to have a nap at the same time during the school day and have a kip yourself for an hour or so, and get your sis to do dinner for all of you tonight so that you can relax, have a bath and go to bed. Or else, ask her to take the children out for tea so that you and dh can have a romantic meal at home - or at least time for yourselves.

peckarollover · 10/11/2005 07:42

been up since 6.30

feel like death warmed up

she is snoozing away and will probably be that way most of today

very angry with dh - he doesnt start work til 12 today but has refused to get up to give me a rest (it was his turn to have a sleep in this morning but i didnt plan being up with "greened out" sister did i!)

so he is snoozing, she is snoozing and muggins old me up with the kids and making a start on housework etc

i wouldnt care as i didnt go to bed until late last night anyway and said to him "im so exhausted tonight, ive done loads of work in the house and spent 4 hours on my assignment" and then that goes and happens so arrrrggghghghghh

pecka has texted me...
her sis has woke up and seems fine

but her ds has spilled tea all over the laptop and it is kaputt

she has also lost all her work for her assignment

sunchowder · 10/11/2005 14:26

Pecka if you do get to see this eventually...sorry you are going through this. I believe you will come to terms with your sister soon as this might bring it to a head. PC's can be replaced, DS's can't! Thinking of you.

popsycal · 10/11/2005 14:32

wil pass your wishes on to her
