Hi. I've bought a DVD on ebay of Snow White and found it si NTSC or something and might not playback on my DVD player. Anyone got a clue what this means??!

I think its to do with the Zone - some won't work on std European DVD players unless you have something like an overide code or you can change the setting on your player

NTSC is the USA tv signal

It may work in computer though

The one in uk is PAL

I don't know much about how the signals work with DVD though

NTSC does not matter to the DVD player (unless it is old 5 years + might do) but the television.

If your tv isnt NTSC compatible then you will get the picture in black and white or you will get the sound but no picture.

Most newish TV's will play NTSC as well as PAL. Look in the TV maunual to see.

My TV is a Sony and is 2 years old, but plays NTSC no problems.

Since Sony also make Toshiba/Matsui and a few other makes u shouldnt have a problem. But Id still check the manual just incase.
