Oh To Have More Energy!

Having celebrated my ds2 1st birthday party yesterday, I am now sat at work completely exhausted wishing I had more energy to do stuff! So I'm wondering, what do you all do to find energy and what would you do if you had more energy. For me, being surrounded my chocolate all day I tend to eat that for energy and if I had more energy I'd do so much more ... I'd stay up later than 9pm, phone my friends more and have more to say to my hubby!

I'm just hoping someone has a miracle cure for feeling energised!

No children?!

I have ds, almost 1 and expecting 2nd child in April. Tired all the time and like you, rarely stay up past 9pm.

Felt better when I was on Carol Vorderman's detox diet before I got pregnant though (it's basically vegan, which I'm not) and I managed it for a week!
But it did help a little.

Do you work in a choc factory, Pancake? I did that for a few weeks when I was a teenager, it was crazy!

I take one-a-day vitamins and a herbal supplement called VMM which boosts your immune system. Before breaking my leg I used to go to the gym or swim twice a week. It increases your metabolic rate and so improves energy levels. It also helps you sleep well.

Making sure you get your fresh vegetables and fruit every day really helps too. If you eat too much processed food it takes a lot of energy for your body to deal with it and so you feel sluggish. But fresh fruit and veg are easy to digest and very cleansing for your body.
