I always seem to be starting Archers threads...

Have I got this right? Julia has died suddenly it seems and in rl too. I can't seem to link to the Archers home page, but there's something on there about it.

OP posts:

Kate is a cow and always has been.

First of all she is trying to take phoebe out of the country with her hippy mates and saying that Royisn't the father. And the next thing you know she has to leave her with him so that she can 'get her head together'. Selfish bitch, I've always wanted to smack her one!

and she ran away from home and scared her parents shitless

Janh · 13/11/2005 19:29

Actually I am more peed off with Roy for being such a wet fish around Kate this time and not siding with Hayley. Wimp.

Blandmum · 13/11/2005 19:31

I missed todays episode

Everyone tiptoes around the cow. She was forever bleating on about 'alternative lifestyles' and 'Oh can you give me some money people'

To which I would have said, 'no, bugger off and get it via your alternative life style'

Take to too seriously, me?

Janh · 13/11/2005 19:34

There was an incident - lost in the mists - where she disappeared and Jenny thought she'd topped herself or something - I forget the circs but anyway, Jenny never stood up to her after that (except once when she told her she couldn't take P to SA and IMHO that was only because J wanted P to stay in Ambridge so she could see her).

I blame the parents, she said cheerfully

Blandmum · 13/11/2005 19:43

And me!

I always hated Sid the Homophobes dd as well. Didn't she go off to NZ in the end.

All the bad eggs in Ambridge emigrate

I am the proud owner of a script signed my David A. He sold them and gave the money raised to the NSPCC....nice chap

Janh · 13/11/2005 19:49

Yes, she was a cow, and Hazel Woolley (?) is a cow - I forget what Sid's is called - Nigel's sis also sounds a cow and she lives away too. I do like it though when the cows some back for a bit to concentrate our minds!

What was Sid's called...? Shall have to go and look. Her mother was Polly, wasn't she?

Janh · 13/11/2005 19:50

Lucy (that didn't take long!)

Blandmum · 13/11/2005 19:54

Lucy let all of Phil Archers milk out because she (wrongly) thought he was taking part in an experiment using growth hormone.

Note to self, I must get out more

Janh · 13/11/2005 19:55

Ohhh, was that when they had the Blossom Hill Cottage gang?

Blandmum · 13/11/2005 19:57

with peggy's ex bf, the american GI!

I's forgotten that!

Janh · 13/11/2005 20:01

Not sure it was Lucy now - Kate was born in 77 and Will G in 83, Lucy was born in 71 so too old for their gang - who else was in it?

I need to buy one of the books (they had the full set in the Oxfam shop once and I dithered and they went )

aloha · 13/11/2005 20:03

Has there been a dna test yet?
Keep missing huge chunks due to small children. Grrr.

Blandmum · 13/11/2005 20:05

we are still waiting...it is the talk of the village

Janh · 13/11/2005 20:13

Result tomorrow, aloha - we will all be sitting outside the doctor's surgery (wherever it is these days) at 7pm.

aloha · 14/11/2005 21:31

Will, eh?

Blandmum · 14/11/2005 21:31

tum te tum te tum te tum.......

aloha · 14/11/2005 21:34

Will Ed forgive? Will Emmerrr ever see him again? Who will have little George....?

Blandmum · 14/11/2005 21:37

I just hope the whinging cow buggers off.

Don't think she will though, that would be to much like Kate.

they are going to make us suffer on this one.....

Janh · 14/11/2005 21:39

Ed loves Emmerr, and George, and even though George isn't his after all I reckon he'll be back when he calms down.

Will was very very unpleasant tonight

aloha · 14/11/2005 21:40

Yes, but I think he has an excuse for being quite cross!

Janh · 14/11/2005 21:43

Yes but imagine if he had been noble and decent - even Caroline was shocked at his attitude - he had the opportunity to take the high ground and blew it completely, Clarrie won't be behind him so much now either. Silly sod.

aloha · 14/11/2005 21:44

She was intending that he never saw his son again and was shagging his brother...and he's a really devoted father. I think she's AWFUL though. I like the Archers when it's racy!

franke · 14/11/2005 21:44

For some reason tonight's episode has sparked a breastfeeding/weaning debate on the BBC Archers message board. Snort.

Janh · 14/11/2005 21:46

Oh I saw that, franke - it was the "take him upstairs and feed him" bit - and "he is 8 months old, how could he possibly still be being breastfed" and "hasn't he got teeth now?" double , lol!!!

Milge · 14/11/2005 21:59

Can I please clarify? who's the daddy after all???
