Been jeans shopping... very happy with my buy, but also slightly

I am about a size 13 - some 12s are too snug, some 14s too loose.

According to H&M the maternity jeans that fit me best are the large ones .

I have lost weight all over apart from bump, so I know that its not just me misjudging my size. Is size 12-14 really large now???

(I'm mainly bitter because the really pretty ones they only had in M or XL, and although the M fitted, they won't if I put on any non-bump weight )

Flipping heck, if a size 14 is large, then I'm elephantine.

I barely exist in BiB ... I can't squeeze my norks into their tops.

Big Is Beautiful in H&M ... it's where the people who really are large sizes go.

Ahhhh!

When I was PG with DS3 H&M sizes used to do my head right in.

I needed a pair of trousers for a wedding, a Medium was like a bloody sausage skin and a Large was like a massive wheelie bin rubbish bag.
Ridiculous!!!

I found exactly the same thing in H&M. Before I was pregnant I was a size 12-14 (proably nearer a size 12 at that point) and the only things that fitted were large. Towards the end though even they were getting small, this was probably more down to the attitude I had if I can't eat what I want while I'm pregant then when can I. (regreted that attitude ever since though)

h&m sizes are weird
i ended up with a size 20 dress not so long ago, was in fact about a 14

flamesparrow · 04/11/2005 15:35

Thank god for that! I was waiting for you all to come on and say that H&M normally size big, and that I've put on a stone in 2 days

British clothing sizes are whacked. I've seen many 'size 10s' that look like they'd fit a 10 year old. And when not pregnant I'm a slender, small-boned person.
