Amazon - Do they have Customer Services Dept that you can phone?

I am having a disaster with my Amazon order. The courier tried to deliver it last week but it was returned to the depot because I wasn't in. I called the depot today but they have returned it to Amazon. I looked in My Order on Amazon but the order is just showing as having been dispatched. I then looked for a phone number to call but there doesn't seem to be one, they seem to want you to email them, which I duly did this morning but no response as yet. Parcel contains a big chunk of DH's birthday presents and his birthday is next Friday so I'm a bit anxious.

Does anyone have any experience of a similar situation or know of a number I can ring?

quite interesting reading....with numbers for several online places.....and the ones for Amazon cover the US and other places too it would appear.

Moschops, that is indeed very intersting reading. I thought I was going a bit nuts yesterday when I couldn't find the number anywhere. They have actually now responded to my email but it involves me placing a new order and waiting for a refund on the first one ans will probably mean an extra payment so that I receive it all in time. V. annoying.
