Applying for NEW JOBS while TCC... am I mad??

i have been in the same (teaching) job for 15 years and absolutley need to move on. now.

i have some exciting new career ideas which i'm keen to pursue (still in teaching- just not whole class teaching).

but... dh and i have just decided that we want to try for baby number 3 (am 38 and have dds aged 7 and 9).

i have been gearing myself up mentally to qutiing my job this summer, and for my own sanity i have to see this decision through.

logically this seems bonkers, as i'd be forgoing materntiy benefits by .

however, i just know that i have to move on, and am excitied about my future- be it a new job, a new baby, or a combination of the two.

is it unfair on prospective employers, though, to apply for a job whilst actively TTC? i fell PG very easily in the past, but it could be different now that i'm older...

i just feel a bit confused - and excited- about my future job/ baby plans, but havent quite figured out how the two fit together!!

i think i just needed to write that down.

I think if you want answers you might just need to post it elsewhere, it's a bit quiet in this forum. I can totally see where you are coming from, I feel just the same having tried to get a new job for three years now, an opportunity has just come up just as we are about to start ttc. I don't want to put ttc off again, but I don't want to give up the chance to get the hell out of dodge either.
