Someone PLEASE HELP me get my WASHING MACHINE to start

we have just bought a new washing machine (Hotpoint Ultima) an ex display model. THe manual is brief to say the least. All the display keeps saying is TEST and running a dummy cycle (without water). I dont know what to do with it.

Anybody have any clue about this?

Have you tried going into the Hotpoint web site and see if they can troubleshoot for you? Have just bought a hotpoint machine myself but have had no problems with it. Sorry cant be more help.

Is there an online site? that sometimes has a more indepth manual or faqs... will try and google for you

Thanks - looked up their website and have ended up emailing them as my model wasnt listed. BUt my washing is piling up and i was waiting for new machine.
