startingtobehalloweenylover · 31/10/2005 17:05

erm... ebay will be able to tell. this is fraud and if ebay won't do anything go to the police.

you won't have to sell anything!

piffle · 31/10/2005 17:05

any news yet??

maddysonsmomm · 31/10/2005 21:50

i cancelled my credit card, am getting a new bank account, its hard as the account is american, so i have to contact the american police, which is hard with the time difference! This happened about this time last year too, it took us 9 months to pay it all back, i didnt think it could happen again! Im going to contact ebay tomorrow morning, and temporarily cancel my ebay account like i did last year! the worse was that i have 12 people still needing paying, as there ended up being no funds to pay them, but 4 of them have contacted me to tell me they are prepared to wait so there are some sweet people out there! thankyou for your advise ladies i really do appreciate it alot!

Why do you have to pay it all back when it is your card being fraudulently used?? I don't understand.

aloha · 01/11/2005 10:22

Don't be daft. You don't have to pay anything! Contact your credit card company and the police (not the American police, the police here) and Ebay. You didn't buy anything, you don't have to pay anything. If anyone contacts you tell them that this is fraud and that you have put it in the hands of Ebay.

aloha · 01/11/2005 10:23

I also assume they are just using your card, not your actual Ebay account. If they are using your Ebay account, how did they get your password?

Somehow they got my paypal details from my ebay account, i dont know how, but then i get about 5 spoof emails a week now! and i did accidently click into one! but i changedmy password and username straight away! The worse is that my ebay is saying i have bought over 200 things in a month! I receive about 10-20 parcels a day now, and i dont recognise half of them, half are coming to me and half arnt! silly stuff like vouchers, dvd's and o-3 month baby clothes, my daughter is nearly 1! i will let you know what is going on ladies thankyou for listening and helping me, you have cheered me up!
