I sit there with DD, we watch Dora, and when she tells us we're meant to be yellin something in Spanish, I can never work out what she's saying!!! Why can't they bring the word up at the bottom of the screen???

Lol - I meant the pronunciation of that Spanish, rather than the meaning

I'm tired, and loving lots of Dora today

It was the day that poor DD was trying to name the outlines of shapes... she was going with "cow" and "chicken" and they were bloody "Yak" and "Vulture" !!! Why would a 2 year old know what a yak is???

DD said 'hola abuela' to an old spanish lady on holiday. I didn't know that abuela meant grandma and it dawned on me that she must have picked it up from Dora!

scully · 31/10/2005 16:11

This has made me laugh, thought it was just my dd who was mad enough to yell at the telly
except now she uses a mixture of english, africaans, spanish, and her own words which she has made up, trying to speak another language. She gets very cross when we can't understand her too
