Hotmail emails and emoticons help please

Can you put emoticons in hotmail emails ???

When emailing friends I often make stupid jokes, and end up having to put just kidding in brackets or ;) or something.

Is there anyway I can add emoticons ??

Hmmm, dont know, but i have loads of those MSN fangle dangle things. if you want them add to me your messenger list [email protected]

I think you have to change something, rich text format in the tools section. I might be wrong though
