I normally hate them, but have actually enjoyed them this time, managed to do something everyday which helps

doormat · 27/10/2005 18:40

I do when I get time off work too

hmmmm. Generally I quite like the first half but I'm ready for term to start again after that. DD (3) has been asking me every single morning this week, at breakfast, 'Mummy, is nursery open today ?'. During term time she is at nursery 4 half days and 1 full day a week, she loves it and really misses it when the holidays are here.

The DSs just squabble and get under my feet endlessly. I seem to spend the majority of the time bawling my head off and sending them to their own rooms just to get a bit of peace.

For me the PITA school run (an hours round trip each time) is a small price to pay for a tidy, quiet house for a few hours.

Gawd, I sound like a wicked witch, don't I ?! I love the kids but they get stir crazy in the hols, no matter what we do to amuse them !

Usually but this one hasn't been much fun. Stayed in all week really as potty training ds2.

Love not getting up, no pack lunches, no spellings to learn. Have been to two beaches with a trip on a ferry inbetween, had a great time.

So I am officially a child-hating, cold-hearted bitch-with from Hell... Ho hum

DD is generally a joy to have about the place, very happy, sweet natured little thing but I'm afraid the DSs spend most of their time being surly, grunting teenagers

NomDePlume · 27/10/2005 20:27

bitch-witch

Polgara2 · 27/10/2005 21:56

I love them - love having the dd's at home. We've been quite busy this week but even if we don't do anything its still great relaxing together.

kiwibelle · 28/10/2005 11:40

Polgara... I like that too... no need to rush around and every excuse to kick back at home and do very little.
