This is dreadful, at least you are all ok.

Re stuff you have lost? What do you need? I am sure we could run to a little collection on here.

northerner · 26/10/2005 09:58

God how awful for you - it really shakes you up doesn't it? My neighbours house burnt down last year and it really freaked me out.

Prettybird · 26/10/2005 09:59

Really sorry to hear about this Aimsum. It must have been really frightening for you.

Is there anything you need in the short term - like towels?!

Are you still going to be coming along on Sunday?

If there is anything I can do to help, please just ask.

peckarollover · 26/10/2005 09:59

my car was set on fire in june and this set fire to my garden fence. Nowhere near as bad as what happened to you but i totally relate to the shaky feelings - i didnt sleep for days.

fire is horrible and scary

gingerbear · 26/10/2005 10:05

Sorry Aimsmum, must have been dreadful. Well done for tackling it, just shows how strong you can be, some people would have ran down the street screaming.
Hope dd forgets soon.

GeorginaA · 26/10/2005 12:09

Oh god, that was supposed to be a not a . I'm not really an insensitive cow, honest.

fairyfly · 26/10/2005 12:13

If it is discussed and expalined i am sure she will forget about it soon. I think the damage comes if is is all brushed under the carpet to try and protect them, You may think i'm mad for suggessting this but if you take her to a bonfire i am sure you will gage if a real fear has been installed and be able to take relevant action.
