blue tack on carpet?

can anyone tell me how to get it out. i have picked most of it off but cannot get it all!

could you use an ice cube to harden it? sorry I know this is the tip for getting chewing gum out of a carpet but dont know about blue tack!

im sure kim and aggie used warm white vinegar to get playdough out of a carpet once.

I would try warming it up with a coolish iron over a clean rag/duster and seeing if you could dab/rub it out that way.
failing that then it's down to solvents and that depends on the type of carpet.
the least harmful would be sunflower oil rubbed in to loosen the tac then when it's all clean 'Grab' the oil with a low foam soap like washing liquid mixed with water 50-50, Then clean the carpet.

Obviously you try all or none of these at your own risk without seeing your carpet it's hard to tell what would work best
