I got one too. It's not a scam as such but an offer - the one I got is free flights to paris IF i stay at a certain hotel for at least two nights and pay for that. Worth it only if the hotel is not too expensive and if I had been planning to go away in any case.
I got it on mu laptop mobile card which is farily new - I think it get's sent out to a huge list of mobile numbers.

its a junk text. You've done very well not to have received one before though - I get them on my pay as you go mobile that I only use when in the UK - maybe 2 months of the year.

Hope you didn't get too excited...

PS it may not be a total scam though - sometimes they are timeshare companies who will give you a prize, but will make you sit through a 2 hour "ceremony" of hard sell before you get it.

Are you sure it was 10p and not 100p typed like that? Usually that's how they make their money. I never call them but once got the landline no of the promoter and called them and angrily asked them to remove me from their call listing. Annoying, I really hate getting junk by text.

I've had a similar one and just deleted it.
