I want to send out a letter with photographs on them , Ive shrunk down the resolution using ifranview , as origuanlly was going to send via email and would have been like 16mb , so now its under 1mg!!

The low res doesnt seem to show the images off at thier best.I think they have lost all their vibrancy. Any ideas on how I show them small on the page , but if you double click they enlarge to higher res ? is this possible?? Is it what compression is about ? Im learning as I go along with these things.

Hi Melsy (tabs here under my halloween name!)

Not very technical with stuff like this, but if you're planning to send by e-mail, then how about you just show the small pics directly in the mail, and then put bigger ones on an internet site that you can include links to in the mail?

If you don't have an internet site already, there are lots of freebie ones that you can upload stuff to - we have a MSN groups one, but sure other ladies can suggest loads if you want to go down this route.

Hi tabs/bewitched ! U ok ? How goes bump?

good idea , are they not limited by size to the piccy websites ? I have them on photobox but they are little ones.

Good idea though I could find another new web site. Im currenlty working on a web site for my business , so I can link this.

Bump's kicking nicely ta! Think it's excited that we finally bought some stuff for it yesterday, as we went to the babyshow at Olympia .

The piccy websites do limit size, but they are more generous than an e-mail would be. Think most of them work on a total size allowance now, rather than an individual pic allowance, so if you haven't got many then you should be able to get them to a fairly good size each.

I should add though that DH does all the tecchie piccy wizadry in this household, so all recommendations from me should of course be taken with a pinch of salt!

If you're setting up your own site then it would seem sensible to pop them straight on there if time permits.

Have you finished your big house now?
