I use AVG and it's free from their website. It was recommended to me by other MNers! Updates itself regularly too.

I used AVG and lost loads of files to viruses. I really wouldn't recommend it. At it's worst, it let 9 viruses cause damage to my hard drive in one day!

Antivir is good. If you can buy, McAffee security centre is fantastic.

My mum has Norton anti-virus protection but a virus attacked her computer so maybe nothing is 100% effective. Never had any probs myself with AVG.

Wish I was a computer whizz don't you?
