noddyholder · 24/10/2005 11:16

dust first then hoover up the dust Although do as little as poss of either

Nemo666 · 24/10/2005 11:17

dust first although try not to do either often..lol

Gobbledispook · 24/10/2005 11:18

dust

nailpolish · 24/10/2005 11:18

dh says hoovering makes dust fly in the air, and land on the furniture so he hoovers first

i say dusting makes the dust go on the carpet so i dust first

another exciting episode in the np household!

solve our argument

pmsl!! Dust???? Dust?!?!?!?!

Hoover, and then get the little brushy attatchment and hoover off the dust. Don't have ornaments

LilacBump · 24/10/2005 11:23

dust stuff from the ceiling down the floor and then hoover

gingerbear · 24/10/2005 11:26

Dust first.
I hoovered the kitchen floor the other day.
This is far more rivetting than reconciling monthly budget figures that I am SUPPOSED to be doing.

scaryclary · 24/10/2005 11:28

damp dusting is the answer, always do it first then any bits that fall to the floor can be hoovered up.
Yr dh is barking np!

suzywong · 24/10/2005 11:31

dust
it's rainy here too and that's what I've been doing too , did the Venetians with baby wipes

nailpolish · 24/10/2005 11:37

Suzy, I have an image of Marco Polo being given a wash and brush up before he sets off on the Silk Route.
How would one clean the Romans then?

lunarx · 24/10/2005 18:35

hoover first, then dust..

SpookySerendipity · 24/10/2005 18:39

Dust then hoover

eidsvold · 24/10/2005 23:23

do it at the same time - my hoover has a little brushy attachement that you can use to dust.

ohhh suzy - we have venetians in our front room and I have been wondering what would be best - thanks for that ... (scuttles off to get out the huggies and clean her blinds )it has been so dry here ( as you know) and everything get soooo dusty.

Hattie05 · 25/10/2005 00:30

hoover then dust its true that hoovering causes dust to settle on furniture - i learnt this when i "trained" to be a cleaner for my Saturday job .

Unless dust is an inch think, in that case dust onto floor and then hoover up!

NightHowl · 25/10/2005 00:44

hoover then dust then hoover again...erm...am i strange? (dont answer that)

gingerbear · 25/10/2005 11:44

What about the Romans then?

CountessDracula · 25/10/2005 12:08

hoover? dust?
What are these strange things you speak of?

Tortington · 25/10/2005 12:32

get the kids to do it

hotmama1 · 25/10/2005 12:35

On the very rare occasions that I do either - I would dust first otherwise you are dusting after vaccuming which cancels out the effort. I only do housework generally if guests are expected - I have other priorities - even if the weather is crap!

teeavee · 25/10/2005 12:55

my answer is exactly the same as hotmama's
