How about a very special toy, between my two daughters we have 10 silver money boxes, 3 china moneyboxes, 4 tooth boxes and 5 bangles. Dont wont to appear ungrateful but I would rather that people didnt buy us anything rather that have a box of presents thats just going in the loft.

I bought my god daughter (who was 4) a lovely fairy china doll. My dh went in with some work colleagues and bought a bottle of wine to lay down for a colleagues son when he got christenend.

I am going to a friends sons christening this weekend and a group of us have clubbed together to buy him a mamas & papas rocking snail (has a seat on it)

My favourite christening gift was a wooden stool with my dd's name and date of birth carved into it. The other thing I loved was a Peter Rabbit cup and bowl.

Beatrix Potter book - you can get one with all the tales in it - dd got one for her christening it is lovely and something that she will be able to use for years to come.
Another really good present was a fab height chart for the back of her bedroom door - again something that will be used
