Mad Neighbour Rant

I've just had one of my neighbours at the door, furious at me because she's had a letter from the management company.

We live in a weird little off-the-road development. She lives next to the parking lot. Her bushes extend out past her property for a few feet, making parking a bit tricky.

She insists they only cause problems because the people who deliver my groceries drive badly, and I should tell them not to drive past her bushes.

Several neighbours have complained to her about them, but apparently I am the only one with a problem about them. She deeply objects to me getting my groceries delivered, for reasons I'm not entirely clear on.

I did not complain to the management company. Frankly, her bushes are irritating, but really not my problem. The neighbour whose parking is most impaired by them uses our space instead (with our permission).

I don't think there's anything I can do. I just need to not let it all get to me. I probably shouldn't have been confrontational with her at the door (I said, I didn't complain to the management company, but I can understand why someone would.). How does one deal with mad neighbours?

Invite ger round to talk about it and put 2 huge bushes either siode of your front door so she has to push through them and then say, "oh sorry, are my bushes causing you upset?"

Nothing worse than horrid neighbours. Shes nuts by the sound of it. Just ignore her and leave her to her sad life!!

I hate my neighbours they are the neighbours from hell.

sounds like she doesn't realise someone else used you parking space

She knows someone else uses our parking space. She just thinks nothing other than cars should be going past. I think the delivery drivers may have brushed by her bushes (better that than hitting a car!) and that's put her off? Who knows.

Now I've told DH about this, he's writing a letter of complaint to the management company too. Wahey.

I do think we should just leave it be. It really isn't a problem for us really, and the delivery drivers can figure out their own way. She's mad, and arguing with her won't help.
