Computer problem-can't open any attachments in email! Help!

Hi
Am hoping someone clever is out there who can help me, I can't open any attachments which come with emails. Its getting embarassing as people send me pictures of their babies etc with their emails and I cannot view them, when I click on the paperclip its grey and won't let me.
Can anyone help?

What are you using to open your emails? Are you looking at them on the net or on an email program?

If you're using Outlook Express there's an option in the Security settings (Tools-Options menu) that prevents you from opening attachments that may potentially contain a virus. My experience is that it won't let you open any attachments so turn it off temporarily to look at your photos assuming they're from trusted sources and when you're done, switch it back on to prevent any accidents. HTH
