Swimwear - secret support

Where on earth do I find decent swimwear for proper swimming with a secret support for my big boobies.

I have taken up swimming again and I am liable to fall out of my current costume and it could be very embarassing.

Cheers

ages ago I got a great plain black costume from M&S - I didn't realise it had something called secret support in it (but I think it's as much for shaping your body if you see what I mean). I don't have huge boobs though but it does fit nicely and still look Ok. I've just looked on their site and the only one they have (with this support) has stripes on it and looks a bit weird!

I have enormous bazookas (34H) and I wear either Speedo or Maru costumes. The lycra in them is great for holding it all in.

I wear an underwired one from Bravissimo, which is sold in bra sizes. I find the secret support ones just didn't contain my boobs at all. I think it would probably depend how big you are.

Thanks all

Sirfurmum - I looked up the maru sites and found some with bust support. Now just need to see if they have my size!!

Hi I'm a regular mumsnetter and I work for Speedo, not just saying this cause of that though, they do a great range called sculpture with a fabric which holds you in and also is really resistant to chlorine for regular pool users. I am 32d normally and I did fit tests for them, they are really supportive. You can have a look at www.speedo.co.uk

Thanks Mandymac - but maybe next time. I hadnt heard of maru before so I checked those out and ordered one with a bust support. I dont think this one is cholrine resistant so I maybe looking again within time.

Now I just have to see if I can get away with my old costume for another week. Its nice but not that practicle.

Just another vote for speedo here if you do need to look again... I love the shape of the backs - the straps always feel so secure, and they always feel much more elasticky than others.

I'm confused by my maternity costume because my back feels naked, and I'm wondernig how I'll swim, and keep straps up!!!

Beabea · 19/10/2005 22:10

Not sure I got on with the main site for Speedo when I checked it out. I just wanted to see the costumes not fancy photos of models in them. Or did I miss those pages?

You;re right, its a bad site. I think you'll probably do better going to a sports shop.

Beabea - I will pass your comments onto the web bod at speedo when I go back to work - at the moment the site doesn't have a 'catalogue' area, but would make sense!
