I've just changed mine as its getting near to Halloween

Tortington · 20/10/2005 20:13

well there was me chris evans and a pineapple - he said "don't forget your toothbrush" and thats it voila my mnet name

megandmogwai · 20/10/2005 20:35

I'm mogwai because, in my ideal world, I'd have the little mogwai from "Gremlins" living in my house, doing small mogwai-sized jobs. Mogwai is my alter-ego, when I feel afraid.

The halloween name obviously stems from the meg and mog books about the witch and her cat!

startingtobehalloweenylover · 20/10/2005 20:42

mine is a manics song

this is my halloween version..

WitchHazellnut · 20/10/2005 20:43

mines partly my surname and the rest made up a word... plus a little halloween addition.

Surfermum · 20/10/2005 20:46

I used to love doing the wet variety before I had dd. Can't wait until she can swim without armbands and we can go together.

Jayzmummy · 20/10/2005 20:46

I first started posting on the special needs board and my sons name begins with J....so jayzmummy was born. Took me a few months to pluck up courage and leave the safety of SN before I posted anywhere else cus I thought you would all ignore me.

I hate my user name and Ive ben rumbled by a family member so I think its time for a change.....but to what???

Jayzmummy · 20/10/2005 20:47

Zephyrrywitchescat · 20/10/2005 20:53

Fauve is a girl's name - I read an article in the Observer about a little girl called Fauve and thought it was lovely. I was too cautious to call either of my kids by exotic names (except dd's middle names, which are both un-spellable) - ds could've been Storm, or Troy, or Tostig. But isn't. Anyway, it's now my mn name; and it means 'wild beast' in French and I'm a Leo.

Surfermum · 20/10/2005 21:35

Hey Jayzmummy! My favourite beaches are Polzeath and Woolacombe, but I live just outside Bournemouth and surf at Boscombe when it's good enough. DH and I are volunteer lifeguards there.

How about you and I hope your plaster was the result of the most fantastic wave that you wiped out on!

Jayzmummy · 20/10/2005 21:44

I live near croyde.....surf Puts or woolacombe daily if poss!!!!
My guys where out there two nights ago....6ft and awesome....I sat watching...killer

ssd · 21/10/2005 09:14

jayzmummy, can you tell me if Croyde gets really busy in the summer? My mum and my sisters family went there about 20 years ago to a caravan park and they've been going on about it ever since! But I've heard it's now very busy in the summer. As we are driving from Glasgow it's a LONG journey and I'd hate to get there and find it crowded.

What do you think?

Surfermum · 21/10/2005 13:14

Jayzmummy! I've had some fantastic weekends in Woolacombe, staying in a little flat on the Esplanade. Surfing all day and drinking all night in Captain Jacks. Sadly I haven't been on my board for over a year . I am just so unfit at the moment I don't think I could even carry it to the shoreline, let alone heave my lardy @rse up on to my feet. That's all going to change though when dd goes to pre-school and I can get in the pool again and get fit. We're getting an artificial reef put in our our beach so I won't have so far to go for good surf.
