my fridge stinks!!!......

for a ouple of weeks now. I have emptied it and washed it all out and nothing in there is off or out of date. Its disgusting and making us both gag now when we open the door.

slice a lemon in half and put that in there, should help absorb the odour adn will smell nicer too

but where the hell is it coming from? I've cleaned it so well!!

Check the drain at the back is clear, use a cotton bud. Try wiping it with vanilla essense, but it sounds like something is still causeing smell, can't think what else?

also used water filter cartridges (like Brita ones) make good fridge air fresheners when they are more than a month old.
Have you checked the seal around the fridge door?

Mine was the drainage bit at the back of the fridge. It was disgusting!

Another tip is to chop an onion and leave overnight as gets rid of powerful odours.

A cup of (UNUSED!!) cat litter -the absorbant natural clay type - helps absorb smells in your fridge.

or but some bicarb IN half a lemon (with the fleshy bit removed)

thanks all - have tried all the above and have now come back from a weekend away and its now smells like something has dies. Visa card coming out and going to get a new one!!

well I did it I went and bought a new one!! Its lovely - not a stink in sight.

you wouldn't want it - it was rank!! Smelt like something had dies in it. A man came to look at it and the drain pipe at the back was full of brown goo! blurgh!!!

anyway the delivery men of the new one took the old one away.

were you serious about wanting it BTW? if so why out of curiosity?
