suedonim · 18/10/2005 18:48

I haven't been to Thurso for about 15yrs, I think.

Moondog, we often see the Northern Lights from here in Aberdeenshire. They're fascinating. A couple of years ago we were all out on a nearby hill in the freezing cold watching a corona, search lights and the curtains in amazing colours. It was round us 360deg, which is very unusual. Last year there was an even better show, apparently, but I was in LA so missed it.

moondog · 18/10/2005 19:02

Gosh suedonim,can you???
I've always wanted to see them.

At least you were in LA! That was some consolation eh?! It could have been....Grimsby!

moondog · 18/10/2005 19:03

The highlands and islands... ... so majestic.

Also the whole of the South Island of New Zealand and the Tarn region of South West France.

I am a big fan of hills and valleys!

wysiwyg · 18/10/2005 20:43

the Pinnacles in Western Australia. Wanted to go there after seeing a picture of it on the cover on the Tangerine Dream LP (cunningly called - the Pinnacles). It was also features in the Billy Connolly tours australia programme a few years back. Eerie - no where else like it on earth.

ScarySkribble · 18/10/2005 20:46

Yes scotland, not the barren hills i am not such a fan of those but the dramatic coast lines up north and lusious forests etc, out my back door is quite nice beside the river .
