What is bluetooth?

Im about to get a new phone and was planning on getting one with Bluetooth, but I dont even know what it is or if I would even use it.

Anyone know?

Bluetooth is a wireless way for electronic devices to communicate with one another. So your phone can communicate with your computer, other phones, bluetooth headsets.

In the olden days you used to use Infra Red (like what a mouse has) this has/is being replaced by Bluetooth.
