Top tip to prevent lost swimming goggles

The leisure centre just phoned me to say someone has handed in ds2's swimming goggles, and what a fantastic idea of mine to have written in waterproof ink on the strap not only his name but also my phone number!

[smug mum emoticon]

Of course it would have been better if I'd double-checked in the first place whether he had left the things behind after his swimming lesson!

I spend a fortune on the bl**dy things.. (2 kids both swimming 3 x week at swimming club) but find that even waterproof ink wears off..

I also would love to know of a brand that actually last.. because more often, they are breaking than beingl lost.. anyone know of any that don't break after a few weeks/couple of mobths.. Roison? Anyone? (Zoggs seem to be the ones I get most often as the pool sells them so I have to replace them instantly when DD and DS need them..)

We use those CD marker pens to label everything now, calculators, nice pens, lunchboxes. However, hadn't thought of the goggles (which we are constantly retrieving from lost property) so Thank You

Creepyjess, we used to use Zoggs but got Speedos to relpace the last ones, from Sports Soccer (or Sports World as it is in some places). They cost a bit more (about £7) but DS says they are the most comfortable & best anti-fog he had had, Thney also come in a soft glasses type case which helps him remember them (& if left behind the pool know they are his by now!)

We use Speedos - again because that's what they sell at the leisure centre. We've never had a pair break, but we've lost LOADS, and they never seem to turn up in lost property!

DS2 (4) has a pair of Aquasphere Seal Kids. They are more expensive than most but are like a mini mask and, best of all, have a quick adjustment system for the strap that makes fitting them a breeze.
