Technical help required over here please!!!

My delightful little toad (ds 3.5) has been messing about on my pc. Now if I want to close a window down(like after viewing a link on a thread) it closes all windows down and I have to relauch my internet explorer and find the website again. HELP!!!
I don't want to have to log on to MN again for
every time I view a link.

do you have separate windows open? or is it tabs all in one window?

All in one window i think..I don't know how to change it!!

so you have one window open, and then beneath your toolbar (where the address box etc is) you have a little row of tabs with all the sites you have open yeah?
beside that row of tabs should be a small x
you need to make sure you click on that and not the big X in the corner of the window

OK going to be giving that a try. If it fails I will be back pleading for help!!!

is it actually Internet Explorer you're running or something else?

If all else fails you should be able to close individual tabs by right clicking on them and choosing close tab

Yes it's the internet explorer I'm running and I've already tried right-clicking to close the individual tabs. This is beginning to drive me mad!!

what version of IE are you running? on your toolbar click on help and then About.... ?

According to the blurb on the screen I am running internet explorer 6.
